Hi

Due to a combination of wear and typical surface rust, the winter tyres are back in the garage as the tyre fitters couldn't remove two of the Mercedes locking wheel nuts.

I'm guessing this has happened to a few other people !? The key lugs lock in place but then jump out when enough twisting force needed to remove them is applied.

Apart from taking them to a garage to drill them out (?) any other ideas that have worked for you ???

(I will get some standard bolts or a new set of lockers once I've had the tyres put on !)

Thanks

If they are worn like you say, I would say have the heads drilled off as you suggest.
I would get a new set of locking bolts, I assume Mercedes ones are very expensive ?

Ok thanks have ordered a new key only first just in case that works. Will then try the impact approach if it doesnt. I can see on youtube that there is a common approach to getting off that I didnt know!
