Anybody try this Battery Tender option of charging thru the OBDII port? Would this work on our SLC 300s?

not the expert but it is too near the cgc central gateway control (at least in the r171)
that controls about all the electronics in your car
I would worry about blowing it up :D

have you already bought a battery tender?
cause i had one and dumped it for ctek 4.3

Agree with above. Leave the OBDII for it's intended use.
If you bend a pin etc you have lost a valuable resource when things like CTEK are available.

I use my BT as intended--attached to the pos + post and a bolt UNDER THE HOOD. Course I have an enclosed garage so hood is raised when in use (but closed for the winter). Snake the cord through the wiper opening at the glass/hood junction.

But no, I wouldn't use the OBD plug either. Mess that up and how are you going to diagnose your ride?
