Any one can share a light in this case?
MB started to deliver slk 350 with a battery rated 74Ah but now they switch to a 62Ah one. Is a new technology in the last battery or?

Believe there is two listed mine had the heavy duty option of 74 ah !?
Out of the two .

The ones with more electonics etc go for the heavy duty option .

The more ah the better for cranking

So if at the moment i have a 680 with 74Ah and i will replace it with a 760/780 77Ah will be ok or it will damage something ?
No, you will not damage anything. More "Ah" means more "Amp hours" .... so the battery has a capacity to deliver the same current for longer or a higher current for the same length of time.

So long as its is a 12 volt battery it does not matter if you install a battery of a higher "Ah"

What I understand is that a 'battery with higher capacity' (option code 673) was standard on the 350 and the 55.
For the 200 it was a €92,50 (+/- $100) option.

So your 350 should have the one with the higher capacity (=74Ah)

In general, if cost is not your primary concern, you want to choose the most amps that physically fits in your battery bay.
Because these cars have a lot of bells and whistles that also work without the engine running (= use battery power), you don't want to look like fool when your car doesn't want to start anymore after you showed off your open roof, audio and lights
