The SLK 300 was only made in year 2016 and the SLC300 was introduced in 2017 model year....SLC had a front end body style upgrade but same engine and tranny.....2016 is rare because it truly is 1 of a kind.

Ok my bad, I didn't think the SLK300 existed. That said, if yours has a 7G gearbox, you access the gear selector and release the box from park as described above. Once disengaged you can take the car for a long run and see if the battery gets back up to a decent charge.

You can use neutral and the Park brake no problem, but the only main issue is that you won鈥檛 be able to remove the key unless the selector is Park.

If you have the 9G gearbox, I don鈥檛 know how that works.

Yep...we have see some pre-transition SLK models with SLC features (interior mostly) here in the US. Sort of a mixed hybrid of the two.

Thanks! But I do have the 9G tranny and no idea how that is reset. I just don't think it has a reset

Yes Baja....mine is the pre SLC which is SLK. I am thinking that the car should be somewhat rare in the future.
