So it seems I left the inside light on and my new battery is dead :(

Remote key doesn't unlock the car and the locks are also seized when I put the metal key in (both driver and boot).

I have soaked the barrel in WD40, but they don't budge at all.

Much else I can do?

The cheapest next option is to break the window :(

Maybe worth noting for the future but the R170 is relatively easy to get into without having to break a window. If you can get a hold of a wire coat hanger, straigten it but leave the hanger end hooked. Slide two pieces of plastic between the glass and the door rubber on the drivers B pillar. Slide the wire between the plastic, hook the door handle from above then pull the cable back toward you so you are pulling the handle outward. Presto, door opens when locked and on a dead battery.

I should add I only learnt this as I wasnt willing to smash a window when the battery died through lack of use and only then did I uncover the locks are seized. I now keep my straightened coat hanger hanging in the garage.

Still havent learnt my lesson as the locks are still seized and Im forever letting the battery drain however the wire never fails to get me in.
