As mine is pants compared to listening to cd .

My SLK is 2005, with NTG1 head unit, and I have an aux port (it's in the glovebox, as Jeff has suggested).

Bluetooth audio takes a hit from BT headphones, speakers etc. which generally are low end transducers. The BT technology is simply a transport.

Bluetooth v4.0 has a bandwidth of over 1Mb/s. This should be sufficient for transmitting and receiving 320k MP3s without issues.

MP3 is a "lossy" format. CDs use lossless formats. Some people can hear the difference. I cant.
