The Atlanta bunch got together today and successfully installed two Smart Tops, three short antennas complete with the wiring modification, and one CF spoiler. We also ate lunch and drank some beer, with most of the time spent on the beer and discussion of whether or not we could install a Lambo-style door and a supercharger as a DIY.

Anyway, thanks to all of those who have gone before, that's three tops done without a single broken CANBUS cover!

We took some photos, and they'll be here shortly.

Yeah, was a great day but that glue left over from the old spoiler, PITA. I think I owe the guys the next 5 rounds! We'll post pics of the event soon (some 911's were involved) and set up a photo by photo DIY for the spoiler removal and install. The new CF spoiler is :tu:.

Thanks Eddy, it took us 2 1/2 hours to get that old glue off and Joe was the steady hand for placement. We have some :tu: pics but I missed the food pics!

As David said, installing my own Smart Top took me about 4 hours start to finish, as I spent a LOT of time reading and re-reading the instructions and posts. The first one today took me about an hour, because I was busy talking, and the last one took 20 minutes. If you can really follow the directions in this forum, you won't break anything...

DJ,

I Can't thank you enough for the install.....The ST is very cool! I had to show off a little for the wife and neighbors when I got home!! Thanks for the hospitality as well.

Dave,

When you were in front of me on I85 today that CF spoiler looked awesome!!!:rb

Can't wait to see the CF Spoiler on a red car! I've tried to get some good pictures of mine, but it's a right pain in the arse - hope y'all came out better!

Glad to hear the ST installs went as smoothly as they did - DJ's gonna be the resident expert after all these!!

I'd be happy to do another session in the spring for those folks close enough to drive here. It makes a good excuse to get together and then go for a drive. And Ken sells them in the store...

We could go ahead and schedule another session in April...

BTW John, I called your folks place to chat about David's spoiler, but you were already in transit. Thanks again for the offer to help.

If you guys seriously want to do another ST install, I don't mind driving down to Georgia for it. I usually don't have anything better to do. Would like to meet a few of you guys too!

As requested...

Sounds like a spring meet in the making! Where are the pics of the day?
We took several photos, but here are a few of the highlights. Good food, good friends, chores knocked off the list, fun day!

WOW you guys even found a job for Joe...lol

So let me see if I got this right... DJ actually working..David supervising and Joe holding the light......

All I can say is I want to be there for the Lambo door install...I can take pictures.

DJ you know if I was there I would have been trying to tell you what to do...it's just a habit for me you know.....(for those who don't know I'm an Air Traffic Controller and DJ is a Pilot so I'm use to telling Pilots "where to go")

Looks like it was all a lot of fun...always is with the ATL group.

Joe you are and always have been my HERO...so when you getting the door kit?
Randy,

Honestly, I'm thinking hard about the door kit, but if I do any more mods the Kleeman upgrades would be next.
So, during yesterdays install, I asked the guys to give me some good reasons to exclude the Kleeman upgrades from my list. I Frankly didn't hear anything convincing to get me to come to my senses.
So, that leaves you! OK, so give me your best shot as to why I should forget all this Kleeman S/C stuff???? Besides the money of course!!!
