Here is a headsup for 09 slk (might just be for 55 amg owners):

Valve cover gaskets will leak (known issue but no tsb) and have to be replaced and resealed. went in for my 16592 mile B service. after it was performed, the tech brought the car out and said on my next visit (next weds to have air filter cover replaced due to broken clips ((sound familiar green filter guys?)) they can replace and reseal the valve covers. I said, what do you mean next visit? let's knock em out now! he showed me where the fluid leaks out from the gaskets and the pcv ports. not a lot to see but it was a little discolored. i probably would not have noticed anything until something was leaking on the garage floor. here is the description of complaint and service and parts:

fluidleak: customer concern of fluid leak oil leaking onto exhaust verified
caused by valve covers - left & right bank, R & R/Reseal KP
installed 1130160221: gasket
installed 1130160221: gasket
installed 003989982010:sealant
inspec found oil leak, coming from valve cover gaskets and pcv ports. R&R both left and right valve covers, repl gaskets and resealed both left and right pcv ports, retested now ok operating to mb spec. clean road test ok.

Service B started at $315. had 20% off coupon and had green filters so they subtracted value of replacement air filters from total. Reset fss to 10000 miles. next service 'A' at 26597. wiper blades replaced. Total today was $238.

What a sexy, car I wouldnt change anything with it or tempted to add the 722 headlights and taillights. I think those wheels do look perfect on the slr, either that or the F599 GTB Fiorano takes 2nd pace in my book. Thank you for sharing!!!

yeah I love the SLR turbine wheels... been looking for a similar design for the SLK but I haven't found any that does the same for me.
