Hello,

want to put R18 8' ET35 225/40 wheels, but will they look not too skinny and tuck under the rear fenders?
Any one have photos with this kind of settup? or somethink like that.

Thanks

Slks are designed to run on staggered wheels.

The rear wheels should be wider than the front.

First I will assume you have a R171 (based on your profile image), and if so, stock fronts are 7.5" width rim with +37 offset, and 225/40 tires. With 8" wide rim and +35 ET, you should expect it to be a tad closer to the fender (not tucked). Rear setup is different, and you really should run the car with staggered rims.

I have a R172 with 19x8.5" front and +35 offset (235/35 tires), and it is almost flush with the front fenders... see image below. (fyi, rears are 19x9.5 +35 offset)

do you know if the 19" wheels from the 2019 C63 will fit an R172? I'm thinking replacing my 18" but don't know if it's going to rub.

It will fit (they are 5x112 66.6mm hubcentric rims)

It won't rub (unless you lower your car more than 1.5" and you keep the rim ET at +35 or higher)

no I did not lower my car..

the spec for my 2014 slk250:
225/40R18
245/35R18

and here is the spec for the 2019 c63s sedan:
245/35/19
265/35/19

and rubbing/offset/bolt/tpms issues? Will it be a direct fit?

Yes, it will be a direct fit. Please change the rear tire spec to 265/30/19 to keep the rev and speed mph to <5% deviation.... The fronts at 235-245/35/19 should work just fine.

For reference, here are mine once again:

Front: 8.5" rim size, 235/35/19, +35
Rear: 9.5" rim size, 265/30/19, +35

Well I’m getting this used from the c63 owner so I’m don’t want to spend more money to replace the tires :)

here are the wheel specs
8.5 J x 19 ET38 - Front
9.5 J x 19 ET56 - Rear

^^^ The rear ET looks way too high and may be an issue especially with tall (35) and wide (265) tires on 9.5" rims in the rear = higher likelihood of a rub in the rear. You may consider adding spacers to get it to around +40/+45 offset (10mm/12mm hubcentric spacers) just to move the rims closer to the fender and less chance to rub inside the wheel well... but no guarantee, IMHO.

If I were you, I'd take a pass on this C63 setup primarily due to the rear rim offset and tire sizes... both are too high and likely result in a tucked in setup (without spacers) plus higher likelihood of rubbing inside the wheel well/fender.

I am on my 3rd wheel/tire combo setup for my 350, and hence will offer my 19" wheel/tire recommendation for an excellent fit, with no rubbing, and staying within 5% MPH deviation from stock setup:

fronts: 8-8.5 J x 19, 225-235/35/19s, ET +32 to +40
rears: 9-9.5 J x 19; 255-265/30/19s: ET +35 to +42
