Stopped at light heading south on Kings Ave
Mustang going east turns south on Kings Ave
My light turns green
Whoosh after him
He has retired Air Force plates so I will be nice.
V6 version. 300 hp
I of course, catch, look and pass and we meet at the next light
I roll down my window and he does the same
He says beautiful car. I return compliment
He looks at my fender badge....V8 AMG
He says, oh, that is a V8
and I say, and an AMG, to boot
Then I now he didn't know because he asked me how much? 40? 45?
I said try $70k
I thanked him for his service and I told him I also served.
And than we parted :D

Not necessarily true. Not everyone chooses to wrap up 70K in a car. I've known plenty of folks that live well below their means.:nerd:
i was being facetious (word of the day) :D

and i earned every penny of my 70K thank you :D

Moustang

I love that smell in the morning, lol. (burnt rubber and testosterone)You never know. My daily driver is a V6 Mousetang. I don't love it but it gets me from point A to B. I have a long commute and don't want to use up the AMG on mindless interstate commuting.

Plus, one of my old friends is a exceptionally wealthy man. Self made multi-millionaire. His biz income is over $380MM per qtr. He is a car guy and owns a stable of toyz that would make Leno jealous. He is also a confirmed speed freak but he only races at the drag strip these days. His latest toy is a highly modified Nissan GT-R that runs the 1/4min in under 10s. His regular car is a Hennessy tuned V12 biturbo S65 AMG that is running close to 1000hp. He once ran 4th place at the Street rod nationals with it in Bristol, VA on stock street tires and with the AC running. But 90% of the time, when I see him, he is driving his old beat up F250 Ford pickup. You would never know he was worth a nickel. But he is my hero.

I think Jeff may be Colonel Kilgore

as he loves the smell of "Napalmsterone" * in the morning.

although, having 'devoured' two ponycars myself recently, in the family bus, without even trying, they do make for a diverting amuse-bouche.

* This is a made-up substance. Until I work out how to actually produce it. Provisional copyright applied for here. witnessed by you lot:nerd:>:D
I'm thinking I should make it some kind of chilli-infused aftershave or deodorant. Natch, Jeff would be the brand ambassador.
