Hi guys, i have red and black leather in my 55AMG as its the Designo interior. There is some wear on the drivers seat and I have been looking at some of the restoration kits but not sure of the colour, where can I find the colour code of the leather seats, they are red and black as per photo? Any help appreciated...

I have used Kiwi Liquid Shoe Polish on mine (Black)
Along with some Leather cream for my Old M/Bike Leathers.
It was worn and dry where your Bum rubs against the Bolster.
I applied a bit at a time wiping it off while still damp.
There are places that can restore your Leather, look in some Classic Car Magazines.

Actually semi-aniline is the finishing process after tanning. Nothing to do with the colour.

Try these guys once you have confirmed the colour, they sell a refurb kit comprising of a cleaner, leather dye and sealer for about £40.00 says it should do 2 seats you may need 2 for the 2 tone seats.

Just a thought... do you think your car may have started life with an all black/anthracite interior, and then a previous owner might have painted parts of the interior red to create the 2-tone finish?

There are some parts of your interior that certainly appear, in your photo, like they may have been painted (such as the red dash trim, etc. - I'm not sure whether that was ever an option). If so, then your datacard won't tell you the correct red colour to use. You could check your V5 for previous owner (registered keeper) details and try contacting them to ask if they did it, and how... but, if it was done by an owner prior to that, then they won't be able to help either.

Here's a pic of my Designo interior too (clearly a different red to yours, but I thought I'd share to show what was colour-coordinated with the red leather bits)...

Yes, have had it confirmed now from the datacard, it is "classic red" and it was spec,d with Designo two tone interior, the red dash trim again is wrapped "Classic Red" leather inserts, not painted. I have had a look at the link and looks good, will probably order the set and have a go when the weather is a bit warmer ? There is some good YouTube vids of the process as well, looks like something I can tackle lol

Afternoon Jasper, if you tell them the colour codes and Mercedes as the make of vehicle them it should not be a problem, if you check the automotive section of the website and go to Mercedes all colours they supply come up on screen.

Regards Stuart

If they don't have yours you may have to send a sample. Just had a look they have.☺
