This happened to me twice.
First time I was driving for about 10 minutes , the blower was in number 2, the cabin recirculating switch was on. Then the blower just stopped. No air was coming from the vents. Tried turning the blower switch to off then on but still no air was coming out. Had to park, turn off the engine then stars start it up again. Turn up the blower and air was coming out. Had no problem after that.
After a month, I was driving for about 20 minutes with the blower set to 1 and the cabin recirculating switch was off, the sir just stopped coming out of the vent. Turned the blower switch off then on again and everything was fine again.
In both cases the outside temperature was 33 deg Celsius. No warning light from the dashboard.
Did this happen to any one else? Is this normal?

Sounds like a common SLK issue =) Motor brushes start wearing out and fan gets intermittent on/off problems.
Some other thread:

Are you handy with tools? ;) It's a relatively easy fix
Here's the possible solution:

And the new brushes will cost you under $30 compare to the new blower motor which will be $$$'s

This is a common problem of air conditioning. Your compressor which is responsible for providing cool air during summer might have been stopped working. This means, either your car is aging or your compressor needs an experienced ac repair boca raton technicians.
