Good morning all, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far.

I haven't posted in a while but I'm in a bit of a dilemma.

i've owned my SLK200K For 18 months now and in that time I've suffered 2 broken suspension springs (one repaired under warranty thankfully), both on the rear and front driver side.

As I'm heavily infected with upgraditis syndrome and not one for being sensible (I bought a whole stainless exhaust and sports cat just because my back box was blowing!) I've decided I want to upgrade and get an adjustable coilover kit because I believe they will last a very long time and make my car lower (I'm a bit of a scene queen and feeling the pressure from my scene-queen friends about it needing to be lower!).

Sooo I've had a look around and Demon Tweeks and PPCGB have thrown up several options, these being:

KW Variant 1
H&R Kit
Bilstein B14 PSS
Bilstein B14 PSS9

PSS9s aside there isn't a mega amount of difference in price. But I don't know which is best. Lowering my car is the most important thing to me as well as enhancing the feel without making me regret it each time I go over a bump. We have terrible roads here. A few people have told me I should go with the Bilsteins which has helped, but my first question is...

Do any of you have any experience with any of these kits?

But there is one thing concerning me.

They always say if it's not possible to supply coil overs for the rear they will just supply lowered springs and I've had a look and it does look like they are totally separate on the rear of the R171.

So does this mean I will not be able to adjust the ride height at all at the back? I'd like to be able to adjust them all otherwise I may as well just try and find a B12 kit instead of B14 as that's not adjustable at all. But Demon Tweeks and PPCGB don't list those for my car, yet Bilstein do.

Help!

Thanks for your help :)

I have the KW V3 on my AMG and the rear springs have a collar for adjustment of the height.
K-sport also makes a coilover kit for the R171.
