A most annoying alarm arm/disarm (security?) noise

Hi and Happy Holidays to all!
I bought a 2007 350 SLK in September. The previous owner upgraded the sound/nav system professionally to a Dynavin N7.
I have not been able to get any details of the job, other than to say that everything works, all dash buttons are integrated properly and the system sounds more than great!
The bad thing is the most annoying, jarring, screeching alarm arming/disarming security sound, every time I insert the key, remove it or with it in, open a door. The noise seems to originate maybe just to the right of the head unit and it got a little more resonant after I removed the glovebox cd player to reclaim space! I got a 2 pak of the correct optical splice loop to do the job right and everything continues to work.
I am a retired auto mechanic and EE so not afraid to take things apart.
I contacted Dynavin, Germany and the local distributor. They tried to help but no resolution yet. It may very well be that I'll have to open up the console or remove the glove box to figure it out.
Unfortunately, I have two sports cars (until I sell one!) plus a motorcycle jammed into my garage!
Outside, the rainy season has begun in California and I have no room to open the doors fully and take things apart!
I was hoping this alarm arming kind of sound, might ring a bell with one of you stereo fiends, possibly its something that can be turned off or investigated with the command system of which I have little familiarity with, right now!

TIA,
Ross

It is the main siren for the alarm. And afaik also used for the chirps. As said it has it's own battery and the whole thing is sealed. If it's broke you have to buy another one. Or remove the whole thing.

Documentation is from WIS. WIS is the Workshop Information System from MB. If you need more info PM me.

I'm not familiar with US legislation but EU legislation compels car manufacturers to make this kind of documentation available to every repair shop. Though not for free.
