About other drivers...

One thing I have noticed since getting the SLK is how rude some other drivers can be. Ok its a nice car, and here in New Zealand we have this thing called the "tall poppy syndrome" - we tend try and cut people down to size a bit if we think they are in any way better than we are or have something a little nicer than what we've got.
Anyway, I was out of town for a couple of days last month and got my room mate to pick the car up from a servicing and he had just bought the car home and was on the phone to me (he nomally drives a beat up old Honda) and was saying how he got cut off a couple of times and it was getting pretty obvious that the usual courtesies didn't really extend too far.
I dont really notice it that much - this is the first car I have owned in about 10 years as I have been travelling, but now that he mentions it I guess other drivers do tend to be flexible with their road manners, based around what sort of car you drive...

I was interested in what its like in other parts of the world.

Just curious...

...pretty much the same in ref to drivers' courtesy in this part of the world.

only thing that saves the day is that there are so many slks around, you
can still go by unnoticed so-to-say...

In Auckland I think you can almost count them on the fingers of 1 hand.

Heaps of Mercs around, even lots of SL's, but very few SLK's for some reason.

And I still think the SLK was about Mercedes' sharpest design ever...
