Hi Guys
Sorry if this could be a duplicate, could not find any..
Anyway, my 55 is black and well..yes spotless as I have said but...
In the direct African sunlight it seems to show little swirls...
Is this common or can it be removed?
I have see it on many other black coloured cars.

Thanks

The person I bought my car from had a high-end professional detailer work on the finish to correct a similar condition. I don't know exactly what was done but below are some pictures of "before" and "after". Supposedly the swirls were caused by using an automated car wash.

Hi Titto,

If you're staying in Cape Town, you must go to Plush :) They will be able to make that disappear and make your car looks brand new! I went there with my 05' 55 few weeks ago, they did a very good job! When I was there, it was full of nice cars, SLS, Bentley...etc. They do the best car wash in Cape Town :tu:

Address: Basement Parking
Portside Centre
Green Point

webside: Plush Group

Go to Detailer's Domain, Meguiars, or any other car detailing site and search for "swirls". You basically polish the car with a rotary buffer or dual action polisher and it makes them go away. You work your way toward less and less agressive compounds and finish it off with wax.

And Pitchrate is correct - If you use a car wash with brushes they will come back. Brushless or hand washing is best. Plenty of threads on here about how to wash your car.

Here is one of my favorite links.
