2016 UK Meet Calendar

I'll maintain a list of UK 2016 meets, their dates, and link to the relevant thread here. If I miss one, let me know (either by PM or post to this thread), and I'll add it here.

If you'd like to discuss details of any of the events, please do so in the relevant thread for that event. If a thread doesn't exist yet for an event you'd like to discuss, please feel free to create one. :)

There are no more events currently scheduled for 2016, although events already planned for 2017 can be found here:

Various dates:
  • Midlands Breakfast Club meetings at the British Ironworks Centre, Oswestry
  • Goodwood Breakfast Club meets - separate thread not created, but Goodwood link is here.
    • 1 May: Soft-Top Sunday (perhaps the only 2016 date appropriate for SLKs)
    • 5 Jun: Full Throttle
    • 7 Aug: Thoroughbred Sunday
    • 2 Oct: Italian Sunday
    • 6 Nov: Hot Hatch Sunday
  • Curborough Sprint Course Breakfast Gatherings - separate thread not created, but Curborough link is here.
    • 8am to 11:30am: 16 Apr, 14 May, 18 Jun, 16 Jul, 13 Aug, 17 Sept, 8 Oct
  • Shelsley Walsh Breakfast Club meets (separate thread not created, but Shelsley Walsh link is here)
    • 9am to 12pm: 13 Mar, 10 Apr, 8 May, 10 Jul, 7 Aug, 9 Oct
    • Note that Shelsley Walsh Breakfast Club events are now by advanced ticket only (and at least 3 days prior to the event if you want to also apply for a paddock pass, otherwise until 9am on the day of the event).
  • Bicester Heritage Sunday Scrambles (breakfast meets) - separate thread not created but the Bicester Heritage link is here.
    • 9am to 4pm: 3 Jan, 24 Apr, 22 May, 7 Aug, 2 Oct
  • Nottingham Car Café meetings: 08:30-10:30, 1st Saturday of each month, April to September
    • Neway House, Little Oak Drive, Annesley, Nottingham, NG15 0DR
    • 2 Apr: SLKWorld thread
    • Other dates: 7 May, 4 June, 2 July, 6 August, 3 September
  • Wilton House "Wilton Wake-up" Dates & Themes:
    • Sun 24 Apr (House and Grounds Closed): GT Touring Greats (Performance coupes & 2+2s) <thread> <pics>
    • Sun 22 May: Franco-Italian furore (French & Italian icons)
    • Sun 26 Jun: Roof-down Rendezvous (Convertibles & roadsters)
    • Sun 24 Jul: Supercar meets Superbike (Ultimate performance cars & bikes)
    • Sun 28 Aug: The Comfy Choice (Grande Routier & luxury cars)
    • Sun 25 Sept (House and Grounds Closed): X-Box and Supertouring! (Performance saloons & coupes)

Nice one, thanks Dave.

Can you flag up the South Gloucestershire Show is on 6th and 7th August 2016, this is the one we've displayed cars out the last 2 years. Tony will be along with details at some point I'm sure.

The Wilton House Annual Supercar Day and monthly breakfast meets are good dates to flag up, however the Web seems to be down, I will let you know when back up,

I just did a quick search for the Wilton House Annual Supercar Day and, unfortunately, it looks like there isn't going to be one for 2016: Wilton Classic & Supercar | Wilton House :(

Real shame the Wilton House Supercar Day has been cancelled for 2016 :frown:, will be back for 2017.

The Wilton House Wake Ups monthly breakfast meets will go ahead but dates to be confirmed :smile:

New kid on the block BICESTER HERITAGE - their version of breakfast meets called Scrambles. Attended the first meet last January, fantastic atmosphere on ex-RAF station with lots of engineering workshops & weather permitting action in the air courtesy flying & gliding club.

Can I just point out the SLK 55 AMG meet up , Is for any AMG owner not just for 55 owners , It comes from the AMG private lounge forum in the Uk section

If not a member & arrive early enough you will be able to join many other SLK's of all versions parked outside the entrance to Brooklands & adjacent to the SLK meet site itself, where entrance is free including the concours area.

I am planning on stopping in the Brooklands Hotel and looking around the Museum on the Saturday.

Action packed year :D
I've put my name down for the Lake District.
The Kent one is a bit far if don't stay over.
Will come to the cat and fiddle and the AMG meet.
Goodwood and the Trackday also sounds good.

I would come to the classic sports car meet, but will be in South France. Monaco F1 tickets are in the post :D driving there for about 2 weeks, if anyone fancies a road trip let me know.

I'll keep an eye on the threads.

Shelsley Walsh February Breakfast Club Cancelled

The Shelsley Walsh February Breakfast Club meet (was due to have been on 14 Feb) has now been cancelled due to the amount of rain they have had recently.

Please note that Shelsley Walsh have chosen to make the Breakfast Club an Advanced Ticket only event with a small charge to cover administration fees.

Some of us went to a breakfast club meet at Shelsley Walsh last year Phil. There was a very wide variety of cars and people, anything and everything! Next one is on 13th March. Don't think I can make it at the moment but they have one every month! :smile:
