My new 2009 SLK 300 has the basic Bluetooth and when you get off a phone call and leave the volume at the last setting from a Bluetooth call the phone rings extremely loud! The only way to make the next phone call come in at a calm decible level without startling you and your passenger is to lower the volume control dial on the radio unit before you hang up the phone and then when the radio is on and the next phone call comes in it will ring normal...but...you then have to turn up the radio dial volume control in order to hear the in bound voice. You have to keep repeating this over and over again in order to have the phone ring in at a calm level. I am surprised that this is the way MB designed this as my other Bluetooth 2008 BMW rings normal whatever level the voice of the incomming call is.
If anyone out there has had this problem and their is an alternative to this please let me know! Thanks!
