Sad to say but ideas seem to always be revisted/remade. Yes the S-class has many class leading / first elements, but the mentality that Japanese car makers can't make a car worth anything is what lead for the surprise of the LS400.It's just nasty, a rip-off of both the SLK and that awful Lexus with a bit of Audi TT thrown in. When will the Japanese learn to design and build something from scratch which doesn't owe its parentage to half a dozen European manufacturers!
If I made cars, I would rather have billion served SLK's are niche cars. I like unique cars as well (seeing as I drive a rare car as well), it helps define the usual from the unusual.Sick of seeing G3x's. Can't go 5 minutes without seeing one. I am parked between two in the office garage right now. They are like McDonalds...over 1 Billion served. I prefer something a little more unique...like an SLK.
