Hi all,
Recently purchased a brilliant car 2002 SLK32 in superb condition.

Have bought new auto dim mirror to replace the auto dim interior mirror and have searched earlier posts.

I understand to remove the 4 screws holding the sunvisors in place and to remove the overhead panel - BUT

Do I need to removed the interior light cover first or does that just come off at the same time and together with the overhead panel

thanks in advance

The answer is Yes! You do need to remove the clear plastic interior light cover. There are two screws underneath it that also holding the panel in place. I just removed mine recently and forgot about these interior lights and broke the plastic holders =( Had to glue those back!
