I have been searching and can not find complete axles other than from the dealer for $1100. I managed to find the inner CV joints from a parts supplier but not the outer anywhere... Doe's anyone have a parts source for these CV joints? The axles seem to be shared with the Clk320, clk430. and Slk32 with a factory # of 202-350-94-10

I don't think Christopher's original post said that he had his heart set on OEM. That was introduced during the discussion.

so again not really comparable to a manufacturer OEM part?
Actually neither Porsche, BMW, VW nor Mercedes make their own CV joints, for many years the OEM parts were GKN/Löbro. The part I referred to was a GKN/Löbro. So while it does not come in the Porsche plastic bag, it is the OEM part. The fuel system and electrical parts of your car are Bosch, you can buy them in a Mercedes bag for three times the price, or order them from a Bosch dealer for 1/3.

Too bad Mercedes didn't use a better gear supplier for the balance shaft gear on your M272 motor rather than the one you have which is made of the same material as a hand grenade pin and serves a similar function.

I however can not find one for the SLK32 except from the factory at $1100, which was the point of my post.

Although Crossfire did not use the bolt in shafts, it would seem that the bolt in stubs could be removed easily from an SLK32, and replaced with the entire Crossfire axle. I know the E-class guys go back and forth between the two types for that platform all the time. Crossfire axles are in the $100/each range, new, from RockAuto.
