I'm sure this question has been asked and answered but after searching I could not find an easy answer.

It's Sunday, the Dealership is closed, my coolant light is on, and I have a Long drive ahead of me.

Can someone please recommend a Coolant I can grab at Walmart/Target a gas station. That I can put in my car today, preferably one that is prediluted.

I don't mind spending extra money for a good coolant but my options are limited to the stores that are currently open.

Also for future reference, what color coolant does my 2001 SLK take, green or red or yellow?

Thank you all so much for your time and help, it is greatly appreciated.

You aren't going to hurt anything by just adding some distilled water to get it up to the right level, that is assuming you aren't really low. Of course you need to track down the leak too. The correct generic coolant would be Zerex GO5 most often found at NAPA.
