Seem to have lost my passenger side lower grille insert and of course the replacement mb price for the sport version seems (even more than normal) outrageous to me. $100+

I have found some on eBay but they're all from Hong Kong and they don't look like the sport version from the pictures provided on the auction.

Someone wouldn't happen to have some laying around or know a good place with a reasonable price to get that small piece of metal?
It doesn't bother me too much with it missing but.... does look better with it in place :)

Thanks!

ps. Part # 11 here .. http://www.mbonlineparts.com/schematics/5/5766015.gif

Here you go buddy:

Part 150 - A1708850053 (Grille Center)
Part 160 - A1708850153 (Grille Left)
Part 170 - A1708850253 (grille Right)

The cheapest one I could find is from the website mentioned below $113.30 =( Seems to be an expensive piece of plastic...

I get all my parts from www.mymercedesparts.com Way cheaper than my local dealership. To compare: I got OEM set of rubber mats for my R170 last week from them - $37.50 vs Ebay which wants $55 + $15 delivery =$70! Twice as cheap!!:rbR) Love these new rubber mats!!!! No more extra sand in my car!

At Jeff: I'm here buddy. My firewall was blocking the EPC again =)

Yeeeep I figured I wasn't going to find a dirt cheap option.. expensive German plastic indeed =/

Thanks again for looking it up for me! I might try to fabricate one once it gets warm if I'm motivated enough. Plenty of other things to do that take priority at this point:

Smarttop install, oil, steering damper, hyrd fluid, fuel filter, diff fluid

Just as an FYi, I have an '02 SLK320 with the sport package which is missing the lower center grill. At least on the '02 the sport bumper is the same as the SLK32 "AMG" cars and cost jumps significantly (cheapest I have found is $217 for the lower mess peices each) over the previous generation sport equiped cars for the same mess parts.

I am hoping to start a DIY this weekend that I will fabricate all new lower grills from some mess material that I found online that is nearly identical to the OEM, albeit slightly less ridged. If you are interested p.m. me and/or watch the DIY section in the next week or so for my summery.

Would be greatly interested sir :) I plan on waiting until the summer to do anything major but any help would be much appreciated. Hard finding others with a 320 around here ;)
Need to take the front bumper off eventually as both side fins/flaps were slightly lose when I bought her and just have a temp fix using a spacer to keep them tension-ed enough to not come loose and look ugly. Plus some rust maintenance wouldn't hurt =/

I also plan on painting the lower grille's black (to match the car) as although I'm sure it's just dirt but mine have a extremely dull wanna-be chrome look to them that I don't find attractive at all. Luckily it's the little things that I can be picky about =)
