1st wiring diagrams.

2nd, no expert but looks like enough left to fix new length from remnants to each other, but not studied in detail. You will need like for like wiring to avoid creating other issues.

For a better opinion I will shout @Dave2302 for you.

the wiring diagrams are having cable colors and plug/connector numbers - that is enough in most cases. Also there are cross sections 0.5mm2 (just example, right) the rest is thermal manipulation via soldering iron, adding flux and some heat-shrink tubing...should do the job.
If you ain't happy with your soldering iron skills, youtube helps, but practice helps better, so take a combo bulb (dipped and high beams) take 3 wires and flux and soldering iron (40-60watts) and start your how to, until the moment you have 3 wires 110watts light and new vocabulary - usually dirtier than before :)!
After that, the key point - 1st heat-shrink tubing, then soldering!

TBH would be an easy fix with Solder and heat shrink especially if you can find a section of Fan Controller Wiring and cut it from a breaker car ;)

If not, use same thickness wires and get new the terminals for the Plug from MB ;)

Oh, and have Rabbit pie for dinner :ROFLMAO:

Just to add to what Dave2302 said, you may also want to put some waterproof glue into the heat shrink before shrinking it to keep it sealed (y)
Also…you may want to sprinkle some red pepper or Tabasco sauce in that area! ( note on tape) Almond shaped poop rat, rice shape mouse. Sorry for your trouble, warm place to sleep 😕

I didn't start the car to get the codes. When I opened the hood he was just sitting there and I used a stick to get him out of his warm adobe. Thanks

After your repairs you might want to look up this device: "Angveirt Under Hood Rodent Repeller Battery Operated Rodent Repellent Ultrasonic Mice Repellent for Cars Mouse Deterrent for Garage Humane Mouse Trap Substitute"

I got mine through Amazon. After a rat had his way with my DD one night and cost me $750, it seemed like a good investment. This one was battery powered, but they also do a 12v version. I haven't been troubled since.

We've had rats, mice and squirrels but Bugs Bunny sat under the hood may well be a first

I found a loaded 9mm Uzi Automatic Pistol in the glovebox of an old 500SEL many moons ago when I was looking to find something with the customers phone number on as Carol had forgotten to get it when the Car was dropped off !! ...................

Guy was in a right panic, came in all flustered "errrrrrr I left summink in the glovebox Dave", as he looked up at his Car on the 4 post lift !!
Without saying a word I ushered him into my office and opened the safe, let him take it out, as I'd put it in there with gloves on !!

Got a nice cash bonus when I gave him the bill for the Trans Rebuild ;) He was just one of those "sarf Lundun" fellas, (back in the late 80's) ;)
