On a sunny morning in July twelve SLKs met in Seattle for a ferry ride across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island to start their OlyPen trip to the Pacific Ocean.

Our first stop was at Port Ludlow Marina, then on to Port Hadlock and Sequim located on the Straits of Juan de Fuca where we met up with 2 more SLKs at the Red Caboose Inn.

After a drive to Port Townsend we stopped for lunch and then traveled the 2 lane highway paralleling the Straits. We stopped at Pilar Point for a photo-op and then continued on scenic Hwy 101. We stayed Saturday night at the Lake Quinault Lodge located in the Olympic rain forest where we had wine tasting and dinner.

Sunday we took a cruise of Lake Quinault, exploring the rain forest, followed by a great photo-op on the front lawn of the Quinault Lodge. We then took a short drive to the Washington coast at Moclips. We stayed at Ocean Crest Resort where our rooms had fireplaces overlooking the ocean. We met in the lounge for wine and cocktails, followed by a wonderful dinner overlooking the Pacific.

Another ideal SLK top down weekend in Washington state only embellished with fabulous weather, beautiful cars, exSLKent camaraderie and breath taking vistas!
