2014 SLK Cylinder 1 misfire

On the way home from a 350 miles trek to pickup our new to us 2014 Red SLK -
I hit a huge patch of ponding water on the interstate doing 60 mph- steam spewed from under the hood for a minute.
As soon as I tried to accelerate - the CE light came on and car went in to limp mode.
After immediately pulled over and checking the oil and under hood.
When restarted the light was out and ran rough.
Stopped at auto parts - scanned as Misfire cyl #1
Anyone know of water issue like this ?
Dealer swears they did not pressure wash the engine although it was immaculate.
Car had only 13k miles.

From what you describe with going through the water on the interstate I would guess that you have sucked through some water through your air intake, if I was you I would remove the air filter to see if any signs of water ingress and take it from there.

My pre production R170 test/demonstrator built August 19th 1996 saved from almost certain to be broken up for spares. Potentially the oldest surviving RHD by VIN?

I would also pull cylinder number one spark plug, and take a look at its condition.
