Well the latest figures of our beloved SLK sure don't boost confidence that the sales of the SLC will be much different. The SLK made the list on the 30 worse selling cars in Canada for 2015.

#19: Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class
– 2015 Sales: down 26.8% to 270 – Two-seat German luxury convertibles aren’t expected to be high-volume profit drivers for their respective automakers in Canada, of all places. But the volume these cars are generating is way down from historic highs. Over the last decade, SLK sales in Canada have fallen by two-thirds.
:surprise:

Only 270 cars sold across the country! :surprise: The second largest country in the world (in terms of land mass) and MB can only sell 270! Fire the sales team>:D

I could never understand why MB even bothered to sell the SLK into the North American market - with all that space and roads plus the choice of proper two seaters that have at least somewhere to rest your jacket inside the car, I have to admit to just not seeing why you in the US/Canada all rave about the SLK!
Here in France, there is no choice - our roads are narrow, towns are small and parking spaces even smaller, so we are forced into the likes of the SLK at the expense of being couped up in a tiny cockpit and unable to get anything out of the boot with the roof down…

One of my few pet peeves about the SLK is not having anywhere to put your jacket! Yes, I know about the very tiny coat hooks on the seat backs which are next to useless.
Even my tiny 1965 Triumph TR4 and 1970 TR6 roadsters back in the day had quite a bit of space behind the seats!

Well....SLK did better than the Audi TT(251) and Z4(121)..but slightly worse than the Cayman(322) and Boxster(360).

I am sure that it will go down well if these 3 iconic German manufactures took these models out of the NA market. And who needs a 'coat hanger' anyway when you have an air scarf, heated seats and a V8>:D

And as for the roads....you have been watching too much TV if you think all roads are like 16 lane highways:wink:
