Jack Point Cover Tether

Here's a quick fix for attaching the jack point cover on a 2013 SLK250 with a broken tether. Knowing what it might cost to replace the cover, if lost, I attached it with a couple of zip ties and it all fit in the cavity behind the cover. Only required a small slot drilled into the larger of the two tabs. If there are other more secure ways, I would be interested.

I'm a new guy here and still figuring out the posting process with pics. Needed to reduce the size of the jpegs.

1. Drill a small slot in the large tab on the back of the cover, just large enough for the zip tie to slide thru.
2. Secure it in a loop.
3. Loop a second zip tie thru the two holes in the sill the that upper tabs attach to and loop it thru the first zip tie and secure.
4. Clip the excess off and snap the cover in place.
