A Sad Day with my SLK

Well, today was the last day for my 2005 SLK350 and me. My lease was up and today I had to drop it off at the dealer. It was a sad and melancholy day. I really enjoyed the car. It was a fun, "that's what life is all about" retreat for me.

What I equally enjoyed was learning all I could about the car from this forum. It was a ton of fun adding modifications to make my SLK unique. I never could have done them without the help of you good people. I've been around for quite a while, remembering when this forum began. In the beginning, I would spend hours scolling through all the threads and soaking it all in.

And today all that is left is my "4KIX" license plate.

I just wanted to thank all of you for all the info and friendly advice. You are a good bunch of people here and the knowledge you all posess is invaluable. I'll surely check in every so often, but for now, I just wanted to say :tu:.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm actually not replacing the car with anything right now. I have a truck and my wife has an MB E350. I only put 16000 miles on my SLK, so it really was a weekend fun car. With the economy in the tank right now, my business is off a bit. So, for now, I'll go without.

But I will check in, so when I'm ready for my next SLK, I'll be well informed.
