Thanks Pete, will take a look at link. I am just researching the crankshaft sensor as that seems to be linked to the rpm, just need to know how to get at it as they are cheap and what harm can it do anyhow
Any ideas where it is located
Cheers
Paul

Can't do no harm but be aware that O2 sensor as mentioned in cause #1 also would have a P2046 set.
I would first check cause #3 , torn vent hose.

Here's a better link with pic of where said hose should be. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/73...4638_p2029.pdf
Be aware that the DTB is for the W203 but this also has the M271 engine. As I said, could be worth checking, not saying it is your problem.
Can't find the WIS doc the DTB refers to in my WIS copy.
Best I can do, sorry.

Just playing with the icarsoft mb vol 1 and found a current code P200A-002 B2/5 Hot film MAF sensor short circuit to ground open circuit in wiring.
Are the faults linked
Any ideas anyone

HI to all
Just removed MAF housing and sensor checked ventilation hoses all perfect.
How would I know if the sensor was faulty.
Would a dirty air filer affect the MAF as it is coupled directly onto the MAF unit
Cheers
