Hi all. I am a very recent owner of a SLK 55 and bought the car with a few problems which I would greatly appreciate some advice about. I do not have much access to non-genuine parts for the car here in South Africa.

1. I have a leak from the radiator on one of the side plastic tanks and am looking for a replacement but am hoping other models are compatible but can't seem to cross reference anywhere? Are there any other models which have the same one or if you can repair them?
2. My steering pump is faulty as there is no pressure while parked but works as soon as I am driving and is whining as well when turning. It isn't leaking from tank and has enough fluid. Am not sure if its repairable or cheaper to replace? Auto store says there are 2 different ones available, 16mm and 19mm inlet which I am not sure about either? Also can't seem to figure out which others are compatible.
3. I have a P0410 secondary air injection fault code. Generally do the pumps or one-way check valves fail?

Otherwise all else is fine on it

Thanks again!

A well fitted radiator shop should be able to repair your radiator. The plastic tanks can be replaced and the gasket that seals it to the aluminum core is replaced at the same time. They should also clean out any crud that has accumulated in the radiator.

With your vehicle VIN we can look up which power steering pump your car was built with.

Secondary air pumps do wear out. Look on eBay for companies that rebuild your original air pump.
