Mercedes Bulletins in WIS ?

Hi Folks!

I happened to encounter the Mitchell On Demand site the other day and pulled up a plethora of service bulletins for my R171. Many of them were related to areas of interest (such as the transmission).

I have WIS, are the bulletins in there? I would think they would be but have not been able to find them. Any info is appreciated, as always!

Yes, its a stand-alone install on my laptop along with EPC, labor times, some videos and other stuff. Basically you drill down into sections by VIN.

I'm not familiar with what Mercedes calls them. GM calls them TSB or just bulletins for short. I would think they would be WIS but where to find them? I don't always find it easy to use.

The star trek link was interesting but seems to have recalls only.

Pretty sure my WIS was from February of 2017 but it may be newer. Since my car is '06 I would not expect too many new bulletins or that I am missing much. On Mitchell the list of bulletins was much longer and much more comprehensive. Many of them were related to issues I have interest in.

Edit: I'm quite certain my WIS is from early 2018. Point being though, there aren't going to be many new bulletins for my '06 if any.

So my question remains, how do you access them in WIS ? They must be in there. The question is, where ?

I can jump in but I'm afraid I won't be of much help.
I searched too and just like you I never found TSB's in WIS. Not in the online version of WIS to which I had access until recently and not in my current offline version of WIS (dated 2014).
If you take al ook in the administration section and display the authorization for your user you should something like I see in mine:

All the boxes are ticked (and can't be modified btw) but nowhere mention of TSB's...
So my guess is they're just not there. But I've been proven wrong before...
Can't help. Sorry.

One that shouts out to me 'technical changes'. Is that not it then, Pete.
(I don't have theses things. Knowledge is the power to blow things up on my car).

That looks like mine but I am the Administrator so I can change everything. That was worth a shot buy my guess is that the docs are buried somewhere in the actual shop manual section?

Those ARE them - and, by the looks of it, its all of them. Brother, you nailed it. Many thanks !!!!
And there were quite a few where, depending on the situation, the trans and converter must be replaced.
