Dear colegues
I just finsh to install a Android 8.0 Seicane head unit and in my slk 280 .it was hard to identify all conections , and thanks to this forum was able to complete the Job up to the point where I’m blocked.
I’m still have to issues :
Frist is that I need to switch on/off twice the key in order that the AGW wake up and gives sound .If I start the key in a normal way , the head unit works but not sound .
The second issue I have been observing , if I do not touch the screen or I do any action on the head unit in a period of ten minutes, the whole equipment is blocked/freezes. The screen goes dark, the pre-selection, radio or disk continues to sound, but neither the keys nor the screen reacts. The only thing that works is the eject disk button, which ejects, and the off button that if pressed for a while, turns off the unit, but does not restart it. The only way is to switch off the unit is completely turn off the vehicle. It seems that the equipment resets and when power up returns to work normally another 10 minutes.
I think it is some kind of internal timer, something in the Android software that is causing these locks as a “sleep function”. I do not think it's a hardware problem ..
If someone has idea what could be the solutions , it could be great appreciated.
