Mine says the color is Fire Opal, it has a spare wheel for an R170, a shifting gate for an automatic (which is license plate frame for America) and many of the codes are listed as unknown. However, it is interesting. I will have to compare to PDF file and draft a complete one.

Also the delivery date is wrong. The car was custom ordered, I got a phone call the day it arrived at the dealer and they needed a day to prep it. It reports delivery 2 months earlier, which does not jive with the build date either.

HEY! According to my checks of VIN numbers and looking up the codes, I found the following:

2005 has 820 for my European Delivery (WAH, should have done again on 2006! Miss Certificate of Origin!) Has option code for semi-analine leather.

2006 has U71 which means DVD player US region code 1. WHat is that? My car can't play DVD's.

after 20 minutes picking through the codes pdf Tslick posted, and the printout from that Russian site, it's clear that they've got a lot of the descriptions wrong, as Tslick says.

@UK-C200 -- I've PM'd you my car's VIN ... thanks in advance

@racercub68 this perhaps the date that your car has been delivered in europe and it takes 2 months to come to you.

@ipcress this the steering wheel that became harder to turn when the speed is growing and vice-versa it become easier to turn when you're at low speed.

See you

Window woes

Thanks Jeff. I just can't get my head around using this site! I'm sure there's an easy way in but I haven't found it yet. Any ideas on adjusting the rear quarter windows? I'm a mechanic nut just don't want to do the wrong thing. Merc dealers here haven't a clue about these cars. I fixed the roof rattles, it was the rear pillar wedge adjusters - easy!
