PSE (again) black plug grey lever

Hello All,
Sorry to post on the PSE again but I am stumped. Mine got wet a few days ago and the alarm started going off. So I pulled it out, cleaned the minimal corrosion (very small amounts) with white vinegar.
I also decided now was the time for a more permanent fix as this has happened before. I cut the vacuum lines and extended them so I could mount it upside down. I was very proud of my work and when everything was dried out I put it all back together and hit the lock button and..... the alarm started going off.

By trial and error I have found that the car locks and unlocks fine if I have all the plugs in but the black one with grey lever (next to the only white one). With this one removed I can lock the car and the alarm does not go off. So my question is does this plug only enable the alarm or does it do other stuff as well. If it is only the alarm i will just leave it unplugged! Also could cutting and extending the lines have caused a leak that sets off the alarm? Any help would be great!
