Need help replacing passenger side mirror

My passenger side mirror was cracked when I purchased my car. I decided to buy the unit which includes the glass as well as the plastic backing so that it can be reconnected to the mirror heating unit (the other option was just to buy replacement glass and place it over the top of the existing glass, but I was afraid this would effect the heating unit since there would be layers of glass to go through and was also afraid it might not look correct since it would be so thick).

Anyways, I was able to get the existing unit loose. However, once I got it loose I thought I would just have to unplug the electric wire and plug it in to the new unit and start reinstalling. Unfortunately, it's not that easy. I can't figure out how to unplug the wires on the current unit and them don't know how to reinstall them on the new unit even once I get them off the current.

I'm going to include pictures to try and help explain:
This is the current unit:

From another angle:

Side-by-side so you can compare:

Here is just the new one, the pieces coming out that look like an electric plug would be where the electrical wires should go, but how do I connect them? Do I just twist them around so they make a connection or what?

Keep in mind that I am obviously not good with electrical stuff, so the more simple you can make the instructions the better.

Thanks in advance for any help!

It seems that all you have to do is solder the wires onto the new unit. Do the soldered wires on your original glass have some type of connector on the other end??
I'd just solder it on the new unit. Note which wire goes to what connection.
I'm not an electrician either but that was my 1st guess. We have more electric-knowledgeable members so hopefully they'll jump in!
