Ignition Key Prob

Hi All can anyone help, we have a problem with the 200 in as mush as the has an intermittent fault where by the key refuses to turn, like I say this is intermittent lights work & switch on & off but the car refuses to start, (key wont turn) whilst driving the other day at a speed of around 70, everything cut out, all engine power was lost power steering went (as you, d expect with no power) but still has full use of hazards/lights managed to get to the side of the road, car was completely dead for approx. 1 1/2 hrs when it suddenly came back to life & started again the Lady in question is reluctant to take the car out on her own in case of a recurrence (she wasn't driving at the time of the incident) HELP ,many thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light

P;S have tested battery all seems to be ok

Sounds like ignition tumbler and switch problem. Quite a few similar problems reported, Will likely need a new assembly.
