How to question, Accelerator responce.
I've given up my beloved MG TF160 for reliability and build quality that Mercedes offers.
I love the SLK 320, a 2002 model with 36,000 miles on her. Its due a Service as although theirs now spanner the Idle is rough occasionally.
BUT my biggest BUG BEAR is the throttle response.
I did a lot of MODs to the MG and the best was a re-map which sharpen up the throttle response incredibly. I could with out effort feather out the back end all day long on track days of course.
I know the SLK is not for that sort of behavior but it is the only thing that lets the car down on its drive-ability. SO is the fly by wire throttle, able to give direct response to my eger FOOT.
Any experiences or thoughts greatly appreciated.
And if any one could direct me to a on line service manual that would be most helpful.
Ta-tar for now.
