R170 boot lid seal query

Hi. I am looking at gummi-ing my R170 and following various guides on here it says there is a seal on the inside of the boot lid. Mine does not have this. Should I have one? Its a 2003 320. Any guidance is appreciated.

I don't recall an inner seal on the 230 we had, but it did have a rubberised coating.

Whilst you wait for the 320 owners have a look if there is a part number here

Hi @Chippenhamged ,

Just looked at my 2002 V6, no Seal on Trunk (Boot) Lid, only the usual one fixed around the Body Aperture

HTH, Cheers Dave

Sometimes you need a second session with the gummi if it starts to fail in the next few weeks.
Don't panic.

If previous owners neglected then for years, an extra bit of tlc often fixes.

Likewise with mine. No seal on the lid, just the deal on the body aperture.

Sent from my phone while my back was turned.
