Well after a break for a holiday I almost finished fitting the cylinders - more of that in a moment. But i started thinking about the re assembly and realised i had two pieces of foam that I have no idea where they go? Help would be appreciated.
The reason I'm not quite finished is that the early model must be a little different to the one as shown in Top Hydraulics, where it is explained that the cylinder pin on the trunk lid cylinder cannot be pulled out all the way. On mine it can and I dropped down behind the cabin rear panel. I'm ordering one rather than carrying out more dismantling

Those strips of foam go between the headliner and the roof panel. If you look at the headliner you should see some remnants of the adhesive that holds them in place.
