Rear Lights.

Hi guys.
I need a new driver side rear light assembly for my 2002 SLK 230. Looking on ebay for parts, just wondering are there any differences between early and later models as far as rear lights are concerned? Would the rear lights from say a 1997 model fit my 2002 model?

Regards.
Tony.

Hi Tony,
you can look up parts numbers here: https://slk-links.neocities.org/EPCLINKS.HTM

I'll give the lads a shout, as they may know off the top of their heads.

Hi Tony.
No difference in the fit etc of the light unit but the facelift cars after 2000 have a different look to them. The lenses are a bit clearer and slightly sparkly if you get my drift.

Clear bits on early cars are sharp cornered, late cars are curvy. Once you see it you can’t not see it.

I hope it's one that was replaced under the recall. Both of mine were replace by the dealer.
