windshield washer pump, 1999 SLK230

My windshield washer quit this morning. I know that there is fluid in the tank, and the headlight washer works. Where is the pump motor, and how do you test it?

If I remeber rightly , behind the front left ( looking from front of car ) plastic wheel arch liner !
To test , remove it and connect it to 12v ??
