Window limiter inside piece missing

Hi nice sunny day so decided to take the door panel off to find the limiter L piece that I thought was missing. Turns out the one under the speaker is missing just the inside glass side of the piece but it is not in the door... What do I do now? Can you buy replacement bits? There is a hole in the bottom could I screw mount a plate to it to limit travel? Any help greatly appreciated...

Thanks

Hi, I'm sure someone more experienced will reply soon, but I recently had to carry out the same fix, I can't remember if it was on here or another forum but someone found the L piece had lodged higher up, rather than it being sitting at the bottom of the door.

There's a thread here http://www.mbslk.de/modules.php?name...rticle&sid=877

and http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/1...rbegrenzer.jpg

from someone who had had their own part made up - you'd of course need to get the other L removed (maybe not a good idea) if you were doing this - alternatively I'd imagine someone could make up another simple L piece easily enough.

Hope you get it sorted,

Tony

I just fixed mine, but the piece was in the bottom of the door. I am sure that any hardware store will have a piece that is close enough. I used epoxy to reconnect to the window and the other L piece (the window has one on both sides).
