we have a 2002 SLK 200 Special Edition. We don't run it in the winter so looking to get it back on the road and have just put new battery in ( old battery died as stupidly left it all connected during the cold months and had to get recovery to get us in to the bonnet)
Electrics seem to be working...and the roof is moving however there seems to be a problem or two with the roof.
When opening, the boot opens, the windows go down, the roof moves to the point it catches the top of the raised rear parcel shelf and stops...(one of the two folding corner units is also catching the drivers head rest too at this point...(right hand drive). I can move the shelf before it catches and the roof retracts fully but there is also a problem when raising the roof too where the two corner units of the parcel shelf remain upright and I can't see where these are supposed to go.
The recovery guy mentioned something about a cable in the boot for manually opening the roof...so not sure if that is a problem too?
