Small side windows not going up

Hello, When I try to close the roof, the small side windows won't go up. the rest of the sequence goes well, but when is time for the windows to go up, they simply won't! You can still hear a buzz on the trunk (I guess the hydraulic system) as far as you keep pushing the switch, the buzz goes on, but the windows stay down... The main problem is that the switch stays red, and the car thinks the roof in mid-way to be closed and I get the annoying beep-beep.... So I have to lower the roof... To make things really bad, the rainy season is just starting over here (Costa Rica), which leaves me with no car after 10:00 AM almost every day. And to make things REALLY bad, there's no official dealership over here, just a sales representative, but they won't take my car as it was imported from the US, not bought to them. There are several MB unofficial mechanics, but none with experience in SLK Roof issues! HELP!

I thought:
Maybe a fuse, but all of them seem to be OK... Maybe the widows motor, maybe a loose wire... or the microswitch... but I have no idea where to start!

Every step goes well... except for the small triangular windows not going up.

Help help please!

Thanks

This may not help but try using the window button in the console. This worked for me on my 2010 SLK.

One thing you could also try which works on the 171 often is to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes then reconnect and try again

CSMLET, thanks, but no, the windows buttons close just the main windows... indeed to park my car I had to close the main windows, with the top up, but the little triangle windows stay down.... It looks funny! :P

I have just removed the battery...
Also I'm checking those:
http://www.buellwinkle.com/r170/topswitches.htm

BUT I have no idea what to check... I'm just... checking if they're there! hahaha

Something tells me that if something is failing is: http://www.buellwinkle.com/r170/tlidclosed.htm

The trunk lid close microswitch, as the trunk opens, the roof goes up and falls in place, then the trunk closes, and then nothing happens except for the whirl sound of the hydraulics trying to do something.....
