Can R170s handle reverse current through cigarette lighters?

Can the R170s handle reverse current through the cigarette lighters?

I don't think so, in which case - where it the best place inside the cabin to connect the leads for a solar battery maintainer?

Thanks!

Garage
The standard cigarette lighter is only live when the ignition is on. My car has a second lighter socket in the glove box which is live all the time. This was fitted by the previous owner to charge his sat nav. I use this to trickle charge the battery when its stored in the garage, saves having to open the bonnet and attach the crocodile clips.

I just decided to be lazy. Dash mounted solar panel, through the door, through the hood, straight to the battery. It should work!

thanks for the ideas. I was hoping there would be an easy permanent attachment point!
