Replacing the speed control switch

Greetings everyone. I'm new to the forum, but I have a question concerning replacement of the speed control switch. Has anyone DIY this part? How/where could I get a manual to show the steps to replace it.

Any help is appreciated.

moving your post to the r170 general discussion section. the diy section is for established diys

if someone has a diy, they will point you to it.

Thank You Jeff

Thank You Jeff for moving my post to the general discussion forum. I did the search, searched with several different key words and nothing came up. Since I was wanting to DIY, I thought that was the appropriate forum. Please explain to me the difference in the DIY forum and the "established DIY forum"

Thanks............q

of course. semantics probably. the diy section is the repository for diys that are already made. the section is not that large so a glance or search as you have already done will reveal if a diy has been made already on your subject. since a diy was not 'established', i moved your post where it would be seen by most r170 users, the r170 general discussion section. If most members hit the 'new posts since last visited' link, they would see posts no matter where they are. But alot do not and head to their make/model general discussion section and would have missed your question if just in the diy section and they do not 'do it themselves'.

that is my logic and you were NOT wrong in your thinking. I am just anal.

whew! and long winded this morning!

Happy New Year, btw!

Jeff
