OK to connect power with K40 removed?

I have removed my K40 as I want to redo some soldering. I disconnected the battery negative before removing the K40 relay and now I would like to reconnect power to have the central lock and alarm functioning. Is it ok to reconnect the battery while the K40 is out?

Thanks!

I wouldn't, who knows how many codes you will create not to mention you may need a dealer to clear some.

Thanks Livefree. I was not planning to try and start the car or even turn the key in any way - just connect the battery. Could battery connection alone set codes?
