Stiff Throttle Pedal ?

I have only driven my car once since getting it tho long trip (300 miles) and noticed the throttle pedal has a very strong/stiff feel is this normal for a 1999 230k Auto. I have never driven another one so have no idea what it should feel like.It works fine smooth acceleration just seems like it has a very strong spring on it is this normal ?

Did you get an answer? I've just bought a R170 230 and my accelerator pedal is very stiff compared to most other cars I've driven.

I had the same question when I got mine a couple of years ago. Consensus is the pedal is stiff compared to other cars but normal for an SLK. I did try lubricating anything I could find but it made little difference. You do get used to it though!
