Need advice for my transmission not shifting properly
I have a 1999 230SLK with 113,000 miles that I purchased 4 months ago. 2 months ago she started not shifting properly and I took her to the dealer in Augusta, GA, where they replaced a "CPMBM ($910), pilot bushing ($14.50), switch ($1190), cable harness ($677.20) and transmission service ($288.50).
I picked it up 3 weeks later, and 3 days later it was experiencing the same problem again, but this time I had it towed in - for further repairs, electrics ki ($463.80).
I am STILL experiencing the same problem: the car does not shift properly when it is cold. She sometimes will shift properly once it is warmed up thoroughly or in the afternoon (I live in the south, so extreme cold temps are not the norm). I get a BETTER response, albeit not completely correct, when I shift manually.
I hate to take it back to the dealer again, just to be soaked for more money. I already have almost $5000 in repairs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
